Center to the busy city centre of Caboolture, hides one of the best water parks in the region, Centenary Lakes Park. Situated on the banks of the Caboolture River, just off Morayfield Road, Centenary Lakes is a beautiful wildlife park. A popular spot for photographers fond of nature, the lakes are home to a wide selection of birds including cockatoos and ducks.
Centenary Lakes Park is the ideal spot for next little day out for your family. You can be sure your family will have a great time with playgrounds, nature, picnic shelters, BBQ's, walkways and large grassy spaces for playing and picnicking.
Don't forget to carry your scooters along! The parklands have a network of paths to explore which are ideal for children.
Centenary Lakes Park is part of the Moreton Bay Region's 10,000 steps program. Starting from the Stringfellow Road entry, the walk loops around the full perimeter of Centenary Lakes Park, behind Caboolture Sports Centre and through Apex Park. The 2.1 kilometre or 2625 step walk, usually takes 20-25 minutes to complete and includes scenic views of the lakes and river.
Make some stops along the walking track and use the free fitness equipment available around the walking loop.
Bring your four legged friend for some exercise too! There is a large fenced dog park near Friendship Grove where you can let them run off leash.
Centenary Lakes Park is a popular spot in the Caboolture area for garden weddings, with its picturesque settings. There are four designated locations in the park that host a wedding ceremony in the garden.
Wedding Area 1: Suitable for large ceremonies with the lake as a backdrop. Area size is 20m x 10m. Ample car parking is available in Elliott Street.
Wedding Area 2: Suitable for small ceremonies this secluded area is located at the edge of the lake. Area size is 20m x 8m.
Wedding Area 3: This are provides a couple of ceremony options either under the large tree in the secluded hedge area or the adjoining grassed space. Area size is 30m x 25m.
Wedding Area 4: This large open grassed area has a variety of shady trees. Area size is 30m x 15m. Ample parking is available in the Elliot Street car park.
