About Pelican Park | Clontarf
Pelican Park located in Clontarf on the Hornibrook Esplanade overlooks beautiful Bramble Bay and Moreton Bay Marine Park. It's a beautiful spot to take the kids for a couple of hours of play in one of the playgrounds, host a birthday party or take the boat out on the water.
The park extends from Thomas St to Maine St, with a playground at both ends.
About the Pelican Park
The main park area features climbing equipment and a slide. There is also a wheelchair-accessible swing - a liberty swing, the key to access the swing is available from Moreton Bay Regional Council on (07) 3205 0555.
The secondary park, closer to Woody Point features kids spring rockers, climbing equipment, and slides.
There is plenty of shade over both parks and both are fully fenced.
Both parks have BBQs, seating and shelters, for a picnic lunch or hosting a kids birthday party.
Water Fun
With its boat ramp, Pelican Park has become an increasingly popular destination for jet skiers who like to take advantage of the open tidal waters of Bramble Bay.
Aside from being popular with jet skiers, the winds off the bay make the location perfect for kite surfing, which is probably why the park is also home to the Redcliffe Kite Club who once a month fly their colourful and stunning kites in the park for all to enjoy.
Aqua Splash, an inflatable water park operates from Pelican between September and April. Hosting a large number of aquatic infrastructure from slides to ladders, climbing domes to runways, the watercourse contains hours of entertainment. A session at the water park is a fun family day out and can be booked online here.
A Popular Spot for Events and Festivals
Pelican Park is often the site of community weekend events, including some of the region's biggest events Redcliffe KiteFest and the Jetty 2 Jetty Fun Run.
