Test your endurance by taking part in the last race for the 2021 Bribie Island Triathlon series organised by Run Inn Promotions. This 4 race triathlon series has been running for 34 years, growing from its humble beginnings to become one of Bribie’s biggest sporting events.
The Bribie Triathlon course consists of 3 continuous and sequential endurance disciplines in immediate succession, tackled over various distances:
There are a few different event options for keen 2021 competitors:
Long and short course options are available.
Long course: Straight swim depending on tide from Brisbane or bridge side or from Glasshouse or Caloundra side. Two or three lap bike of 10km each lap. (flat and fast). Multi lap run course beside water. (flat with several drink stations).
Short course: 300 metres swim 10km cycle 3km run. Straight swim depending on tide from Brisbane or bridge side or from Glasshouse or Caloundra side.
When: The Sunday of each Bribie race weekend.
Active First Timers is designed for people who’ve never done a triathlon, and those who are interested in a short, fun race. It is intended to give newbies the chance to experience a triathlon in a fun, non-competitive and encouraging environment.
When: The Saturday of each Bribie race weekend.
Active Kids is designed to introduce kids aged 7 and up to compete in triathlons, offering children a great opportunity to race in a fun, encouraging, non-competitive environment. On the day entries are available. All entrants receive a medal and a cap upon completion. Children compete in age groups, the distances covered are determined by their age.
When: The Saturday of each Bribie race weekend.

Race 3: Saturday, 20th and Sunday 21st February 2021
Race 4: Saturday, 20th and Sunday 21st March 2021
Where: Bribie Island
Who: Licensed, unlicensed, teams, kids 7 and up, triathlon veterans and first timers
Bribie Island Triathlon registration/entry cut-off: Online entries close at 6pm on the Thursday before each event, or when the event reaches 1000 entries. If you are registered, but unable to attend, contact Bribie Triathlon for a refund ($15 admin fee applies). No refunds available after the 7 days prior to event.
