Without a doubt the most popular event on the Redcliffe Peninsula, Redcliffe KiteFest features an entire weekend of non-stop family friendly entertainment. In hopes that September will bring more wind, the family-favourite Redcliffe KiteFest will be moving to September this year.
It might have a new weekend, but the annual Redcliffe KiteFest promises to deliver the same fun and colour for one huge weekend, boasting world-class kite displays, live character performances (headline act to be announced in March), workshops, market stalls, amusement rides and aerobatic displays, plus so much more. On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September from 9am-4pm, Redcliffe KiteFest will transform Pelican Park in Clontarf into the Ultimate Kids Weekend.
For the best family-friendly events near Brisbane experience Redcliffe KiteFest – the biggest celebration to hit the Moreton Bay Region.
Redcliffe KiteFest is renowned for delivering world-class kite displays and will once again play host to a huge group of domestic kite flyers, including the amazing Redcliffe Kite Club in the Kite Flying Arena.
Each day from 9am-4pm the sky will fill with kites of all shapes and sizes as the world’s best kite flyers show their stuff.
This festival is known for bringing incredible live music and entertainment to the Moreton Bay Region, and it all starts at Redcliffe KiteFest main stage. Crowds will be wowed as some of the best young performers in South-East Queensland take to the Stage.

Catch Bluey and Bingo live on the Sesame Lane Main Stage at this year's Redcliffe KiteFest!
Performing twice daily, kids will be up on their feet as their favourite blue dog takes the stage.

Sesame Lane KiteFest Kidz Zone is paradise on earth…for kids. Filled with a range of free and low-cost activities, KiteFest Kidz is bursting with fun, colour, and entertainment specifically for children aged 10 and under.
From 9am to 4pm both Saturday and Sunday KiteFest Kidz Zone will be buzzing with lot of activities.

Redcliffe KiteFest is proudly presented by Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT), and supported by our strategic partner Moreton Bay Regional Council.
Event organisers are working closely with Queensland Health to deliver the event with patron safety as our top priority. Delivered under a COVID-Safe Event Plan, patrons can expect a few changes in the spirit of safety and all event attendees will be required to scan in using a QR code for contact-tracing purposes.
