The Woodford Railway welcomes local and visiting families, nostalgic couples and train-fans to come to learn about the locomotives of yesteryear in all their glory for an immersive experience. Trains depart roughly every 30 minutes between 10am till 3.30pm, with a lunch break 12.30 till 1.30pm on the first and third Sunday of every month. The round-trip train ride takes about 15 minutes and offers passengers the chance to enjoy the scenic Woodford countryside. COVID restrictions may impact the railway's operating days and times, so please double check their Facebook page for the latest news before starting your day trip.
The train can once again stop at Woodford Gardens Cafe again to drop off and pick up passengers, plan ahead and make a booking with the cafe if you'd like to stop for a bite to eat.
Grab some happy-snaps by the train after your scenic tour and make your last pit-stop at the station store. By picking-up railway related books and DVDs for sale, you can indulge your appetite for all things locomotive, or just quench your thirst with a cold drink.
As for those who have built up an appetite, head for a picnic or a BBQ outside
