2025 Convoy for Kids ready to rumble to Redcliffe
More than 750 trucks of all shapes and sizes will make their way from Larapinta to Redcliffe next month for the 2025 Brisbane Convoy for Kids.
The event, in its 16th year, will be held on November 1 and will raise money for Queensland’s only children’s hospice Hummingbird House, which provides essential care and support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
The convoy will follow the same route as last year, travelling 62km from Paradise Rd, Larapinta, to Redcliffe Showgrounds.
Spokesperson Dana Browne says more than 750 trucks are expected to take part, but there could be up to 1000.
“Registrations remain open, however, they will be closed once we reach 1000 trucks or mid-October to allow sufficient time for shipping of merchandise etc,” she explains.
“In addition to our fundraising efforts, the event also highlights the importance of the trucking industry, celebrating the hardworking individuals behind it and the essential role they play in keeping Australia moving.”
Once at the Showgrounds, the fun continues with a truck show, a charity auction, amusement rides, animal farm and live music performances by Liam Maihi and Travis Sinclair.
“As the sun sets, the event lights up with our night lights display and the much-anticipated fireworks show - a highlight for many families,” Dana says.
“And for those who don’t want the night to end, we’re hosting an after-party at the bar with entertainment by Mattlach. It’s also a well-deserved moment for our amazing volunteers to sit down, relax, and celebrate a successful day.
“This is more than an event - it's a community celebration full of heart, horsepower and family fun.
"We find many people lining the streets from the Hornibrook Bridge, right along Victoria Ave, onto Oxley Ave. We do ask that people viewing the convoy are doing so in accordance with any laws and ensure their safety is maintained."
Registrations for the convoy and truck show, volunteering, sponsorship, merchandise, tickets, memberships, Trailer of Hope, can be found at brisbaneconvoyforkids.com.au
