$50,000 in Ausbuild community grants

Ausbuild has announced the beneficiaries of its 2023 Community Fund (Moreton Bay) Grant Program, injecting a total of $50,000 into the Moreton Bay community.

It is a boost to community organisations, initiatives and sporting teams.

Ausbuild's Joint Managing Director Matthew Bell is pleased with the diverse range of applications received in the third round of the expanded grant program.

“As the Moreton Bay area continues to grow and with Ausbuild's role in the community, we recognised the importance of expanding our reach,” Mr Bell says.

“For the third round of the grant program, we made a decision to welcome applications from all across Moreton Bay, extending beyond our previous focus around The Sanctuary in Warner.

“Sporting clubs, schools, community events, and not-for-profit groups play a crucial role in our region. I was particularly impressed by the array of valuable projects and causes, each making a significant positive impact on our community.

“The grants will provide substantial benefit to a broad spectrum of individuals and groups, including volunteers, young people, local carers, people with disabilities, and even the environment.”

An independent review panel of Moreton Bay residents received 64 applications and had the difficult task of allocating the pool of funds to 14 projects.

The successful projects range from upgrading facilities at a local soccer club, to saying thanks to local carers, and even kickstarting a parkrun in Mango Hill.

“Ausbuild is proud to be able to make such a positive contribution to Moreton Bay and its communities. On behalf of Ausbuild, a big congratulations to our 2023 recipients across Moreton Bay. We look forward to the successful outcomes and positive contribution it makes to the community,” Mr Bell says.

“To the recipients that weren’t successful, I applaud you for the initiative of applying, and we look forward to receiving your grant applications again when we open our round 4 grant applications.”
