Six hours of free rides and family fun
Caboolture Family Fun Day is back, celebrating the EKKA public holiday with free rides and family fun.
The popular event, on Monday August 10 from 10am-4pm, is at a new location this year - Caboolture Showgrounds, on Beerburrum Rd.
Organisers say the showgrounds will be a “giant family playground” with unlimited free rides, live entertainment, face painting, show bags, market stalls and food trucks.
Presented by City of Moreton Bay, Mayor Peter Flannery said the free Caboolture Family Fun Day event was a chance to celebrate the public holiday close to home.
“Caboolture Family Fun Day is one of our City’s most popular community events, giving residents a chance to enjoy a low-cost day of rides, entertainment and activities,” he said.
“We know many households are feeling cost-of-living pressures and a day out can quickly become expensive.
“Events like this help bring our community together, giving families the chance to spend quality time together, make memories and enjoy everything City of Moreton Bay has to offer.”
Councillor Adam Hain (Div 3) is “so happy to see the Caboolture Showgrounds come to life with everyone enjoying what’s on offer”.
“There’s a real sense of community at this event – people catching up, kids having a blast – and the fact it’s all free makes a big difference for local families,” he said.
“It’s something we can all be proud of here in Caboolture.”
Caboolture Family Fun Day is delivered by Tourism and Events Moreton Bay.
