“With the order of the ballot finalised, we will begin printing and mailing ballot papers,” Electoral Commissioner Pat Vidgen said. “Please keep an eye on the post for your ballot materials.
“All people enrolled in Division 11 of Moreton Bay City Council will receive their ballot paper in the post. You do not need to visit a polling place to vote.
“When you receive your postal ballot materials, please follow the instruction on your ballot paper carefully to ensure your vote counts.
“This includes signing the declaration envelope and making sure the envelope is also signed by a witness."
Completed ballot papers must be received by the ECQ by 5pm on Tuesday October 7, 2025.
Mr Vidgen reminded around 29,000 enrolled voters in Division 11 voting is compulsory and failure to vote can attract a $166 fine.
The Division 11 by-election follows the resignation of Cr Darren Grimwade on July 10, 2025.
