Candle lighting to honour women
BPW Moreton Bay will “honour women, inspire change and light the way for a brighter future” by lighting candles next week.
An International Women’s Day Candle Lighting Ceremony and Celebration is being held in Norths Leagues Club, Kallangur, at 6pm on Tuesday March 4.
The BPW candle lighting symbolises the “achievements of women around the world and illuminates the path toward gender equality”.
Tickets are now available for an “evening of empowerment and celebration” which includes four guest speakers.
They include Jade Sharp, an Olympic gymnast and weightlifter who will share her journey of resilience and success.
Karleen Wilcox, the Executive Director of Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals, will offer insights into leadership in healthcare.
Deputy Mayor of City of Moreton Bay Jodie Shipway will reflect on her experiences in community leadership.
And Candice Kiss, the City of Moreton Bay Business Woman of the Year, who aims to inspire attendees with her entrepreneurial success.
“This event embodies what BPW Moreton Bay stands for, empowering women to reach their full potential and celebrating their incredible achievements,” Vicki Wood, President of BPW Moreton Bay, said.
