Chilli coffee and 4Real Milk a perfect match

The team behind Moreton Bay’s Chilli Coffee has launched two new flavoured milks in collaboration with 4Real Milk.

Almost a year to the day since the official launch of Chilli Coffee with three new coffees in its range, Doug Bates and James Sullivan have unleashed Dragon Live Wire and Dragon Heart – two unique flavoured milks – along with Dragon Wild Ride syrup.

Doug says Dragon Live Wire is flavoured with white chocolate, dark cherry, ginseng, Kakadu Plum and chilli, while Dragon Heart is a chocolate milk infused with native Davidson Plum and chilli.

“We wanted something completely different,” Doug says.

Savour the flavour

“It’s not hot, the chilli is a flavour enhancer – if you don’t put chilli in, the flavour would be flat.”

Greg Dennis of 4Real Milk says the company had dabbled in flavoured milk in the past, without great success.

“We didn’t have anything unique,” Greg – also known as Farmer Gregie – says.

Lactose-free

The result is two delicious lactose-free products that showcase Greg’s milk, Doug and James’ chilli and native plums.

“The great thing is they have a 21-day shelf life and are low-sugar with fresh milk,” he says.

The new milks follow the launch of 4Real Dragon Breath and 4Real Dragon Espresso in January.

Doug says the new Dragon Wild Ride product contains guarana and ginseng and is a low-sugar energy syrup.

The milks hit the shelves at Foodworks Burpengary this week and Doug says they will be rolled out

across Queensland.

A year of success

Today’s launch follows a stellar first year for Chilli Coffee, which won the Most Innovative Coffee Production Start-Up 2021 at the APAC Australian Enterprise Awards in January.

The award was not the company’s first, with D’Vine Chilli Coffee taking out the top sport in the Mr Chilli Awards for Best Chilli Beverage last May.
