Community rallies for charities
Four Moreton Bay Officeworks outlets have helped raise almost $1 million for charities across Australia.
Among the charities to benefit from this year’s Make a Difference appeal isCare Kits for Kids QLD.
Officeworks stores at Rothwell, Strathpine, North Lakes and Morayfield chose to direct donations made by customers in June to Care Kits for Kids.
Community support
Rothwell store business manager Amy Straughan says they’re proud of how the local community and store team members came together to support Care Kits for Kids QLD and the Make a Difference appeal.
“Officeworks Rothwell is honoured to support Care Kits for Kids QLD, helping to provide valuable resources and support to complete their vital work,” Amy says.
“Thank you to all of our customers who donated to this year’s Make a Difference Appeal and for supporting our local community.”
Overall, the Make a Difference appeal raised more than $950,000 to help Care Kits for Kids QLD and 14 other community organisations to support children to learn, create and connect for a more sustainable future.
Care Kits for Kids QLD president Julie French says they were thrilled Officeworks partnered with the charity, whose volunteers help children in crisis.
“We send many heartfelt thanks to the amazing Officeworks Make a Difference staff and their caring customers who have all stepped up big-time to help us keep providing Care Kits for Qld children in need.”
