Emergency services expo wows the crowds
The police dive squad showed off its equipment and people had the chance to hone their CPR skills at a recent road safety and emergency services expo at Rothwell.
Graham Davis from the Redcliffe SES says emergency services crews provided public education through brochures and chats with visitors to the event at Bunnings.
The Redcliffe ambulance team had children and adults refining CPR skills using resuscitation manikins, with other visitors taking the opportunity to climb up into the Kippa Ring Fire Brigade's pumper.

The Fire Brigade also had a special mobile kitchen to show what can happen when fire breaks out in cooking oil.
Children explored a Coast Guard rigid hulled inflatable boat and police provided a command centre, Highway Patrol motorcycles and road safety information.
“The Redcliffe SES operated a public education stand aimed at providing information on preparing for a wet spring and summer, the result of another La Nina as forecast by the Bureau of Meteorology,” Graham says.
Bunnings staff organised a kids’ corner, National Parks and Wildlife Service rangers showcased animals that call the region home and Moreton Bay Regional Council provided a disaster information marquee.
