“As a business owner myself, I know the challenges owners face every day. Our local businesses are the backbone of our economy,” Ms Dooley said.

“We want to acknowledge, celebrate and reward our small and family-owned businesses who often do it tough, by giving them an opportunity to be profiled and elevated”.

Award categories will recognise excellence across a range of sectors including Health and Wellbeing, Best Home Business, Trades and Services, Tourism and Accommodation, Retail Business of the Year, as well as a People’s Choice Award, among others.

“We're proud to be working with Kerri-Anne and her team to shine a light on the small business owners in our community who show up every day, take the risks, and make the Redcliffe peninsula a better place to live and work," Cameron Whinnett, President of the Redcliffe Peninsula Chamber of Commerce said,

Nominations can be submitted by business owners, customers or community members who wish to recognise outstanding customer service, innovation and contribution within the Redcliffe business community.
