Family "went wild" after North Lakes' women's lottery win

A North Lakes woman says her family “went wild” after she sent a photo of her $52,000 winning Super 66 ticket to them via a group message.

The woman held the only division one winning entry in Super 66 draw 4173, drawn on Saturday and took home a division one prize of $52,495.25.

Confirming her prize with an official from The Lott this morning, the Moreton Bay region woman explained she’d been in a state of shock since discovering her win on the weekend

"Is that real?'

“Oh my god, woo-hoo!” she says. “I checked my online The Lott account on Saturday night, and I noticed all of the numbers were lit up.

“I thought, ‘no way! Is that real?’.

“I ran straight upstairs and shared the news with my husband. He was absolutely gobsmacked! He couldn’t believe it.

“He just kept saying, ‘How much did you win? Tell me again!’. It’s a complete blessing. I’m so glad it’s real!

'Wild with excitement'

“We have a family group message, and I sent them a photo of my online account and they all replied instantly.

“Everyone was going wild with excitement!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her prize, the woman says she is dreaming up ideas.

“There’s a few bills we need to pay and some things that need doing around the house,” she says. “It will be nice not to have to work to pay for those things.

Gold necklace

“I’ve also always wanted a really nice gold necklace, so I will get myself one of those too.”

The winning entry was bought online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.

The winning numbers in Super 66 draw 4173 on July 17, 2021 were 5, 7, 7, 1, 1 and 9

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 243 so far this year, including 64 won by Golden Casket customers.

Millionaires

In 2020, Saturday Gold Lotto created 122 millionaires across Australia.

During this time, there were 312 division one winning in Saturday Gold Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $355.13 million.

There are more chances to win big with Tuesday’s Oz Lotto offering $5 million, while Thursday’s Powerball also has $20 million up for grabs.
