Moreton Bay is revving up for three days of high-octane radio-controlled racing in classic battles for state honours.
Brendale’s England Park Raceway is hosting the 2026 Remote Control Racing Australia Large Scale Queensland Titles on June 19-21.
Interstate stars, seasoned campaigners and club legends are expected to go head-to-head on the corner of Leitches Rd and Strathwyn St.
Drivers will compete in the Large Scale Sedan class, powered by a two-stroke petrol engine, or the 1/5 Scale Bike class, which utilises a brushless electric motor.
Queensland Radio Circuit Car Racing Association President Dan Morris said the club couldn’t wait to see rubber hit the road in another absolute classic at England Park.
“The Large Scale Queensland State Titles is an iconic event on our club’s racing calendar and you can be sure to see some exciting battles on the track,” he said.
“Large Scale racing is about the closest you can get to the real thing. The cars and bikes feature very similar components to their full size cousins.”
Featuring a 280m asphalt circuit and professional track lighting, QRCCRA’s England Park Raceway has hosted state and national radio control titles for almost 40 years, including three world championship events.
The Large Scale Queensland State Titles are from 2pm on Friday, followed by Rounds 2 to 5 on Saturday 9am and 4pm.
Sunday sees Round 6 from 9am and finishes with semi-finals and finals from 11am to 3pm.
