First look at new $35m hotel

The first artists impressions of the Comiskey Group’s new $40 million development in Dakabin have been released today.

They show the $35 million Dakabin Hotel, set on 3.75 hectares at the corner of Alma and Old Gympie Rds with a $15 million shopping centre.

Construction work is to start soon and should finish in the second half of next year.

The hotel/pub will have its own indoor basketball court, restaurant, indoor and outdoor dining, a sports bar with TAB, gaming room and children’s room.

The shopping centre will include the likes of Guzman Y Gomez, KFC, Zarraffa’s and a NightOwl service station.

“Dakabin is a massive growth area, not to mention its close proximity to the thriving North Lakes community, it really is a great opportunity for leasing,” director Rob Comiskey said.

“Our Dakabin development is in a high-profile location on the main road, offering great visibility right opposite Woolworths.

“We do have a few tenancies left and we are looking for businesses we believe will be well-suited to the area.”

Director David Comiskey says Dakabin Hotel will take shape in coming months with the structural work starting any day now.

“The earthworks are nearing completion and we will start the concrete footings very soon,” Mr Comiskey said.

“In just a few months Dakabin Hotel will start to take shape and the progress should be exciting to watch.

“We had been working on the design of the development for over a year, we put a lot of effort into it and so we were very eager to release the artist impressions when they were complete.

“It’s great to finally be able to show the community what we have planned.”
