Four films at eco-theme festival
Moreton Climate Action Now is putting on a festival of four eco-themed short films tomorrow.
The “thought-provoking” movies, which have not been shown in cinemas, will be shown in Burpengary Community Centre, at 111 Station Rd.
The Beauty (2019) is a Germany film on a journey through the oceans showing both stunning beauty and filth from pollution.
Outpicker (2023) is an award-winning documentary about a Chinese woman who finds a sense of belonging in Australia through litter-picking.
RIVERTREE (2023) centres on two life-long mates who set off on a long-distance paddle from the headwaters of Clarence River to the ocean.
Water is Life (2018) shows how Aboriginal communities fight against fracking plans in the Northern Territory.
The short film festival is on April 27 from 1.45-4pm and includes facilitated discussion and light refreshments. Tickets are $4/$2.
