From cheesecake to $100,000 lottery win

A Narangba man, who once counted a cheesecake as his greatest prize, is celebrating winning $100,000 in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

The Moreton Bay resident had the first prize entry in a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw made wo weeks ago on May 19.

He had been unknowingly holding onto his ticket, unaware he was $100,000 richer …. until checking his ticket late last night.

“This is just the best surprise!” he said. “I haven’t slept a wink since checking my ticket last night.

“I’ve been out of town for a while and it wasn’t until I got home yesterday and heard there was a mystery winner in the area I thought I should check.

“The winning ticket has been sitting on my fridge. When I checked it, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I just kept saying, ‘Oh my god! Oh my god!’.

“It’s unbelievable. Last time I won something I was 13 and I won a cheesecake. I’ve never been someone to have luck winning anything - let alone $100,000.

“You know what, this prize is going to go a long way. It’s going to do so many things for my family and I,” he said.

“I’ll be able to pay off my mortgage and help my family. I’ll have to wait to see the money, because it still doesn’t feel real!”

His winning entry was bought at TSG Narangba, in Main Street, Narangba. Owner Mani Bhardwaj was delighted to have sold a winning entry.

“I was so excited when I found out,” he said. “We will be decorating the store with posters and balloons this week to share the good news with our customers.

“This is the second First Prize winning entry we’ve sold in the last two years. I have no doubt our customers are going to be very happy to hear the news.

“We send our winner a big congratulations and wish them all the best.”
