Gallery: All the colour and fun of Redcliffe KiteFest

Families flocked to Pelican Park in Clontarf over the weekend to take advantage of the beautiful weather, live entertainment, rides and of course the majestic kites that were flying high above the Moreton Bay Region for Redcliffe KiteFest.

The event, held on September 17 and 18, attracted roughly 35,000 people across both days.

The two-day spectacular featured a huge program of entertainment including International Kite Flyers who returned after a two year absence, Blue and Bingo, along with the pups from Paw Patrol, on the Sesame Lane Main Stage – a hit with fans both young and old.

The Hot Wheels Stunt Team Display was also a hit with the crowd, as was the Kids Karnival Zone, Ausbuild Kite Flying Arena, Public Kite Flying Zone, market stalls, food zones and roving entertainers.

Redcliffe KiteFest was organised by Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism (MBRIT) and Kites Queensland in partnership with Moreton Bay Regional Council. Sponsors included Ausbuild, Sesame Lane Care and Kindergarten, Kites Queensland, Tourism and Events Queensland, USC and Strathpine Centre.
