Highway changes kicked in today

Temporary traffic changes on the Bruce Highway, between Dohles Rocks Rd and Anzac Ave started today (Apr 16).

Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) says the delay, from the start of this week, was due to signage and site arrangements.

Changes are to allow pavement and night works to be completed safely and will be in place until late May/early June, weather permitting.

For northbound motorists, from tomorrow there will be no exit to Anzac Ave from the right (fast) lane. Motorists will need to be in the left or middle lane before Dohles Rocks Rd.

The right (fast) lane will remain separated by barriers through to after the Anzac Ave interchange.

For southbound motorists, from late April/early May traffic entering the highway from Anzac Ave will not be able to access the fast lane.

That lane will only be accessible again after merging at the Dohles Rocks Rd interchange.

From tomorrow motorbikes will not be permitted to lane filter/split between Dohles Rocks Rd and Anzac Ave until the project is finished.
