Join in Family Fun Singalong

Wondering how to spend the Queen’s birthday long weekend? This free family-friendly event at Redcliffe is one option to consider.

The Family Fun Singalong is on at Suttons Beach Pavilion on Monday, October 4 from 3-6pm.

The event, sponsored by Ray White Redcliffe and Margate, is being organised by the team at Suttons Beach Pavilion and will feature headline act, the 18-piece Moreton Bay Big Band.

The band will be performing in the rotunda and includes musicians who regularly play at events across Brisbane and Queensland.

Suttons Beach Pavilion co-owner Oli Thomson says it will be “a lovely afternoon by the beach with good friends and great times as singing along with the band is very much encouraged”.

“With the super talented Moreton Bay Big Band, performing modern stuff as well as some of the classics, anyone brave and talented enough is welcome to join them and take to the front and sing with them with a full professional 18 piece backing band.”

You can book a table in the restaurant for drinks/lunch, or grab some takeaway or maybe organise a BYO picnic or order one a takeaway antipasto boxes to enjoy by the beach. The kitchen closes at 6pm, last booking and food orders by 5.30pm

“After the year we've had with all things COVID, we wanted to put on free event for all the family and with summer arriving early, we're hoping families will bring a picnic blanket, some camp chairs and set up on the grass in front of the pavilion to enjoy this fantastic unique musical event,” Oli says.

“We have a long relationship with Ray White, hosting many of their parties here at the Pavilion, so when they generously offered to fund and sponsor this event, we were delighted to be working together.”

If you can’t make this event, don’t worry. There’s another free event, sponsored by Moreton Bay Regional Council on October 31 from 2-5pm, and an ABBA tribute planned for later this year.
