Kyle's learning curve on island circuit
Redcliffe racer Kyle Evans says he “did loads of learning” at the famous Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Victoria, over the weekend.
In round two of the Australian Formula Ford Championship, Evans had a best finish of eighth in the three races which were an important stepping-stone.
“Overall, did loads of learning with big improvements both on and off the track and lots to bring into the state round at Winton next weekend,” he said.
Evans is back in the garden state for the Victoria State meeting at Winton this weekend, where round three of the Australian Formula Ford Championship will be in late May.

The 17-year-old will be looking to build on Phillip Island which saw him start 13th in race one, drop to 15th but 10th with a fastest lap of 1 minute 39.2960 seconds.
Race two gave Evans his best result, starting 10th and finishing eighth, just a few seconds off the leading pack with a best lap time of 1:39.2071.
In race three, he started eighth, climbed up to sixth then missed a gear and slipped back to 13th and in an eight-lap race was unable to make the top 10 but had a top lap of 1:39.2812.
The Phillip Island Formula Ford lap record is 1:35.8901, which has been held by Anton de Pasquale since November 24, 2013.
