Little Scholars opens new $5m centre
Little Scholars School of Early Learning has today (January 6) opened its newest campus at Deception Bay.
The $5 million centre, which has capacity for 171 children, is at 54 Old Bay Road – opposite Deception Bay North State School.
Little Scholars has purpose-built classrooms, natural outdoor play areas, a technology hub, before and after school care space and the latest learning resources.
Enrolments are open with play dates for families, once they enrol, to help children feel comfortable before starting and families to know educators and learning spaces.
As a Queensland-approved kindergarten provider, Little Scholars can offer 15 hours each week, over 40 weeks per year, of free kindy to families.
The 2500sqm campus is also expected to create more than 50 jobs, including educators, support staff and administration roles.

Staff recruitment is well advanced but - at the time of publishing - was continuing for some positions.
Little Scholars founder Jae Fraser says the new Deception Bay campus continues the organisation’s aim to deliver world-class childcare and education.
“Deception Bay is one of Queensland’s fastest-growing areas for young families, and we are thrilled to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for their children,” Jae says.
“People in that demographic looking for good quality childcare – and we’re working to be a premier provider, focussing on the education component.”
Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) figures show the Moreton Bay region has had a 17 per cent population increase in the last decade, with a significant portion being young families.
Established in 2014, Little Scholars offers an innovative approach to early childhood education that fosters academic and social development.

Centred on play-based learning, Little Scholars aims to equip children with the skills and confidence they need to thrive.
The curriculum includes Bush Kinder and Beach Kinder, as well as an intergenerational program where children are paired with aged care residents to bridge understanding between generations, build community and connection.
Families enrolled with Little Scholars also benefit from innovations, such as chef-prepared take-home meals for busy parents who don’t have time to cook, as well as the Family Time program offering specialist appointments as well as dental and haircuts so families can maximize their free time together.
Deception Bay is Little Scholars’ 16th campus and continues to expand with a campus having just opened on the Gold Coast and another in development at Karalee.
