Loud, proud and free - PrideFest is back

Moreton Bay’s biggest festival of pride is back - and for the first time, it’s free.

On Saturday, Moreton Bay PrideFest will transform Pine Rivers Park, in Strathpine, from 10am-4pm with live entertainment, connection and colour.

Organisers say they have a “dynamic line-up of music, performances and show-stopping acts to celebrate the region’s diverse LGBTIQA+ community. 

A highlight, the One Love Zone, will showcase local community groups and service organisations, offering support, resources and opportunities for connection.

There will also be a range of food vendors, community stalls and entertainment for an event Mayor Peter Flannery says has become a standout on the City’s event calendar. 

“Since launching in 2023, Moreton Bay PrideFest has grown into one of our City’s most vibrant community events, bringing people together to celebrate pride, diversity and connection,” he said. 

“We’re proud to make PrideFest a free event this year, giving even more locals the opportunity to enjoy the entertainment and celebrate the diversity that strengthens our community.  

“PrideFest sends a clear message that Moreton Bay is a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone can feel safe, valued and proud to be themselves.”

PrideFest 2026 has been “reimagined” from an afternoon/evening event into a daytime festival to make it more accessible and inclusive.

Organisers say the change has been “largely positive” particularly with the event being free and easier to attend.

The One Love Zone has attracted “strong engagement” from service providers and local organisations while organisers say the overall mix of entertainment and community groups reflects “ongoing community support”.

Moreton Bay PrideFest is presented by the City of Moreton Bay and delivered by Tourism and Events Moreton Bay.
