Massive Redcliffe development hits milestones

The One Redcliffe development has reached two significant milestones, with 70 per cent of residences in stage one now sold and construction in full swing.

The focus for the remainder of 2025 will be on installing structural braces and carrying out excavation of about 40,000 cubic metres of soil.

A spokesperson for builder-developer Gardner Vaughan Group (GVG) says excavation is being completed in staged drops of 2.5m, allowing basement walls to be sprayed between and over the retention piles installed by Wagstaff Piling.

Anchors are also being installed through the retention system to further secure the structure.

“With favourable weather and steady progress, the team aims to complete a thin concrete blinding layer at the base of the excavations before year’s end - laying the groundwork for a strong start to 2026,” the spokesperson says.

One Redcliffe, at the corner of Anzac Ave and Redcliffe Pde, will be built in two stages, delivering 214 apartments across two towers and 14 retail and commercial spaces.

Construction of tower one, on the northern side of the site, will happen first and is expected to take about two and a half years to complete. Stage two will take an additional 18 months.

More than 3000 sub-contractors will be engaged to deliver the project, many from the City of Moreton Bay.

Putting soil to use

In an interesting crossover between GVG and the wider community, some of the excavated soil will play a starring role in one of the city’s biggest sporting events this weekend.

GVG, in partnership with Blend Projects and Fraser Haulage, is supplying 5000 tonnes of material for the AUSX Supercross Championship Rounds 1 and 2, to be held in Redcliffe on October 11 and 12.

“The soil will be transported from One Redcliffe to a local holding yard before being moved into the stadium in the days leading up to the event, where it will form the track surface for the high-profile competition,” the GVG spokesperson says.

Strong sales

Alongside construction momentum, the project has achieved a major sales milestone, with 70 per cent of stage one residences now sold.

GVG Commercial Director Sam Gardner says the result is not only testament to buyer confidence but also to the warm welcome the project has received locally.

“We’re thrilled with the response to One Redcliffe. Reaching 70 per cent sold in stage one highlights the strong demand for premium coastal living and validates the quality of what we are delivering,” he says.

“Just as importantly, the support from the Redcliffe community has been incredible. We feel privileged to be contributing to the Redcliffe Peninsula and to be part of a place that has embraced this project so openly.

“One Redcliffe is more than just a development - it’s about creating a landmark that the community can be proud of.”
