Moreton Daily launches Business Circle to thank and connect its supporters
Moreton Daily has always been built on community. The people who read it, the businesses who support it and the shared belief that local stories matter.
Now, that community is coming together in a new way.
Moreton Daily is launching the Moreton Daily Business Circle, a supporter-led initiative created to thank the businesses and organisations that back independent local journalism across Moreton Bay.
The Business Circle will host four invitation-based events each year, giving supporters the chance to connect with one another in a relaxed, informal setting. No sales pitches. No formal networking. Just genuine connection with people who share similar values.
The first event will take place on Wednesday, 4 March, alongside the release of the brand-new Moreton Daily Magazine, an evolution of The Redcliffe Peninsula.

A thank you to the businesses behind local journalism
Moreton Daily CEO Belinda Boyce said the Business Circle was created with one clear intention, to say thank you.
“The Business Circle is our way of recognising the businesses who have stood behind Moreton Daily,” she said.
“These are the businesses who believe in the value of local journalism and who help make it possible for us to remain free and accessible for the wider community.
“We wanted to create a space just for them. Not about selling or pitching, but about connection, shared values and being part of something local.”
As an independent publisher, Moreton Daily exists because of the support of its business and community partners.
That support comes through Strategic Partners, Business Ambassadors and advertisers, allowing the platform to remain free to read and focused on what matters locally.
“We truly can’t do this without them. The Business Circle is one small way we can give back to the businesses who make our work possible.”

A new chapter, built on strong foundations
The launch of the Business Circle comes as Moreton Daily enters a new chapter under the leadership of CEO Belinda Boyce, with the publication now part of a broader group of marketing and media businesses owned alongside local entrepreneur Ellie Bakker.
Founder Shane Newcombe’s vision remains central to that future. His genuine commitment to the community helped shape Moreton Daily into a trusted local platform and a free resource for locals and businesses across the region.
“Shane built something incredibly special. He created a platform that truly belongs to this community, and I’m incredibly proud and honoured to carry that vision forward into Moreton Daily’s next chapter.”
While ownership has evolved, many familiar faces remain part of the Moreton Daily team, including Lyndsay, Dom, Nick and Alice, alongside new team members bringing fresh ideas and energy.
“Our heart hasn’t changed. We’re here to tell local stories and support the community that supports us.”
Moreton Daily also acknowledges Kylie Knight, thanking her for six years of leadership and her passion for building the publication into a trusted community platform.
Looking ahead: more for business in Moreton Bay
Over the coming months, the Moreton Daily Business Circle will continue to evolve, with tailored business news and content shared with the growing supporter network.
“There are around 36,000 businesses that call Moreton Bay home. We already provide a strong local news platform for the community, and we want to build on that by offering more relevant storytelling and information for businesses and their leaders.
“Businesses are the backbone of our local economy, and we want Moreton Daily to be a trusted place they turn to for news, information and resources that help them lead and grow with confidence.”
Belinda said she was looking forward to the next chapter of Moreton Daily and continuing to work alongside the businesses and community members who make the publication possible.
