New magazine for the Redcliffe Peninsula

Print community news is returning to the Redcliffe Peninsula, with the launch of the monthly magazine – The Redcliffe Peninsula.

The free publication covers news, lifestyle, education and sport, celebrating community achievements, previewing events and delivering the information you need to know if you live, work and play on the Peninsula.

It will also include a comprehensive business directory and opportunities to connect with readers direct via display and classified advertising.

Running alongside the print edition is The Redcliffe Peninsula website - a free community news and lifestyle website just for the Peninsula which includes a comprehensive business directory.

The publication will be headed by well-known and respected editor Kylie Knight, who has worked on the Peninsula for much of her 25-year career in journalism.

She has a passion for the place she calls home – the people, the lifestyle and the strong sense of community.

Mrs Knight has edited newspapers and magazines, and has been the Senior Editor of Moreton Daily – the free community news website for the Moreton Bay Region – since its launch in 2020.

“I understand the strength of community news and how a local publication can bring a community together, shine a light on unsung heroes and lobby for positive change,” she says.

“Ours is a special community – close-knit and parochial. It’s something I’ve always loved about this place and I look forward to putting together a magazine which reflects who we are and what matters to us.

“I’m backed by a team of experienced journalists who are equally passionate about community news and the important role it plays.”

The dedicated team behind The Redcliffe Peninsula

Serving the community

Published by Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism (MBRIT), The Redcliffe Peninsula will have a circulation of 12,000 copies, making it readily available at distribution points throughout the Peninsula.

MBRIT CEO Natassia Wheeler says the launch is in response to the community's longing for a dedicated local news publication.

"Redcliffe is one of the most enviable destinations in one of the most liveable regions in South East Queensland,” Ms Wheeler says.

“The launch of The Redcliffe Peninsula addresses a significant demand within our community. It's not just about news; it's about fostering a sense of belonging and unity.

“A thriving local news source enhances community engagement, empowers businesses, and fortifies the bonds that hold us together.”
