North Lakes man lands $1.25 million
A young North Lakes man is keeping cool, calm and collected after becoming a millionaire in the weekend’s Gold Lotto draw.
The Moreton Bay resident held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday's Gold Lotto draw 4567 and took home $1,259,119.90.
So far in 2025, there have been four major lottery wins in the Moreton Bay region that have collectively taken home more than $61 million in prize money.
The winning man was on his way to an appointment when he received a phone call from lottery officials revealing his bounty.
“It’s amazing,” he laughed. “It’s a nice feeling. I’m still processing it all. I’m going to take my time and make smart decisions moving forward.
“The first thing I thought when I discovered the win was, ‘how am I going to invest this!’. I’ll definitely put it away for the future.
“I’m a simple man, so I’ll keep my celebrations low-key and not tell many people. Thank you very much!”
His winning System entry was bought via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto on April 26, 2025 were 38, 42, 32, 1, 21 and 7. Supplementary numbers 24 and 13.
There were four division one winning entries in Saturday’s Gold Lotto – two in Queensland and one each in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 389 so far in FY25, including 102 won by Golden Casket customers.
In 2024, Saturday Gold Lotto created 149 millionaires across Australia.
