Police round-up: drink-driving charges

A black 2019 Kia Cerato was stolen from a Bellmere house this week after entry was gained through an unlocked back door.

Police believe intruders entered the home between 10.30pm on May 30 and 6.45am on May 31, stealing a handbag containing a wallet and keys to the vehicle.

Man charged

A 49-year-old Marburg man has been charged with drink-driving after allegedly returning a roadside breath test reading of 0.133 percent – almost three times the legal limit.

Members of the public alerted police to a vehicle swerving across lanes on the D’Aguilar Highway about 4.42pm on May 30.

Police allege the vehicle was heading from Royston towards Woodford before it was intercepted at 5pm, near the intersection of Ironbark Dve at Woodford.

The man is due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on June 22.

Traffic crash

A 17-year-old Caboolture boy has been charged with drink-driving and driving without due care and attention after an incident at Burpengary on May 30.

Police attended a single-vehicle crash at Caboolture Regional Sports Park at 1.30am on May 30, and found the boy with minor injuries, which ambulance officers treated at the scene.

Police allege the 17-year-old had been drinking prior to the crash and returned a roadside breath test reading of .103 percent BAC.

The boy is scheduled to appear at the Caboolture Children's Court.
