A key Moreton Bay road will permanently close next Monday as part of the Bruce Highway’s $2 billion upgrade project.

Transport and Main Roads says access to Goodrich Rd East from Dohles Rocks Rd will shut to all traffic from May 19.

This is for the "new southbound exit ramp from the highway as part of the upgrade from Dohles Rocks Rd to Anzac Ave (Stage 1)”.

Motorists wanting to access Goodrich Rd East from Dohles Rocks Rd will be able to from the Silvereye Dr intersection (see detour route below).

Construction work will include closing part of Goodrich Rd East, modifying the intersection of Dohles Rocks Rd and Goodrich Rd East, line marking and pavement marking.

There will also be temporary lane closures on Dohles Rocks Rd, speed limit reductions, heavy construction equipment and traffic controllers around the site.

Day works are expected from Monday-Friday 6am-6pm and Saturday 7am-1pm. Night work Sunday-Thursday 6pm-6am.

Construction on this stage of the upgrade began last month and is expected to finish in late 2026, weather and work scheduling permitting.

TMR says it appreciates residents’ and motorists’ patience and will “make every effort to minimise disruptions”.
