Rugby league legends to share stories before Dolphins-Warriors top-four blockbuster
Some of rugby league's most recognisable names will come together on Saturday ahead of the Dolphins' top-four clash with the New Zealand Warriors, giving fans a rare opportunity to hear stories from some of the game's biggest moments.
Hosted by Warriors great Mark Tookey, the pre-game fundraising event will feature former Warriors stars Kevin "Campo" Campion and Clinton Toopi, alongside Dolphins foundation players Jesse Bromwich, Kenny Bromwich and Mark Nicholls.
They will be joined by Dolphins figures Grant Young, Tazmin Rapana and Crystal Tamarua for an interactive panel discussion and fan Q&A before kick-off at Suncorp Stadium.
For rugby league fans, the line-up spans some of the sport's most memorable eras. Campion represented Queensland and Australia and earned a reputation as one of the toughest forwards of his generation, while Toopi remains one of the Warriors' most celebrated players.
The Bromwich brothers and Nicholls played key roles in establishing the Dolphins in the NRL, creating a unique opportunity for fans to hear perspectives from both sides of Saturday's blockbuster clash.
More than just a pre-game function
The event will be held at The Beetson Hotel from 11.30am to 2pm and includes a 2.5-hour food and beverage package.
Guests will enjoy a selection of canapés, stand-up meal options and beverages while hearing directly from the panel in an intimate setting.
The afternoon will also feature player appearances, raffles and auctions, with prizes including a signed 2026 Warriors jersey, Warriors and Dolphins gift packs and a night's accommodation at The Beetson Hotel when the Warriors take on the Broncos.
A timely lead-in to a blockbuster clash
The event comes as the Dolphins continue the strongest season in the club's short history.
Currently sitting inside the NRL's top four and firmly in finals contention, the Dolphins head into Saturday's clash against the Warriors with momentum on their side. The Warriors have also been among the competition's benchmark teams this season, setting up a genuine heavyweight battle between two of the NRL's form teams.
For fans attending the pre-game event, it means hearing from some of the game's biggest personalities before heading to one of the most anticipated matches of the season.
