Severe weather warning for Moreton Bay

Moreton Bay City Council has just issued a Moreton Alert for increased risk of severe weather today for some or all of the region.

The Bureau of Meteorology says there is a very high chance of showers from late morning, and the chance of thunderstorms. Some cells could be severe.

Residents are being urged to stay informed and to monitor warnings.
