Undersea Putt and Play grand opening

Get your putters and sense of adventure ready … the Moreton Bay Region’s new multi-million-dollar entertainment precinct at Bluewater Square is opening next weekend.

The eagerly-awaited under the sea-themed 18-hole mini golf course will open its doors to putters with a special weekend of underwater fun to celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15.

Following the success of the development’s first stage, Jason Cravino, Leasing and Special Projects Manager for centre owners Elanors Investors Group, is looking forward to welcoming mini golf enthusiasts to the opening celebrations.

What’s happening?

“To celebrate, Bluewater Square will be hosting a family-friendly grand opening weekend featuring roving performers, centre activations, photo opportunities and some great giveaways,” Mr Cravino says.

“The first 500 children to book their putt-putt experience will receive a free showbag filled with goodies including a pirate hat, tattoos, activities and local discounts.”

Everyone is being urged to embrace their inner pirate and dress up for the occasion, with a weekend stay at Oaks Mon Komo up for grabs for the best dressed.

“Bluewater Square will also join in the fun with centre activations including King Neptunes Throne for some great insta-worthy photos,” he says.

To avoid disappointment, putters are encouraging people to book ahead to secure their preferred time slot. Bookings can be made online.

Boost for locals and visitors

Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism CEO Shane Newcombe is excited about the development.

“This sort of entertainment and leisure experience is exactly what Redcliffe needs,” he says.

“This immersive experience is sure to be a hit with local Moreton Bay Region residents as well as a real drawcard for tourism.”

About the development

Undersea Putt & Play is the region’s new entertainment centre located at Bluewater Square, Redcliffe. The venue features a state of the art 18-hole putt putt course, a gaming arcade, café and bar.

“This is a one-off. It will be unique. Iconic,” Mr Cravino says, “it is a multi-million project which will not be replicated elsewhere.”

Visitors will enter through the jaws of a Dunkleosteus, a terrifying fish from the Devonian period, which lived around 350 million years ago and grew to eight metres in length.

Mini-golf players will take a journey underwater with terrifying creatures, sharks, a giant squid, sperm whale, mermaids and pirates.

Visitors will putt over the ocean floor discovering ancient fossilised prehistoric fish, great white sharks, crocodiles and whirlpools.

The wreck of HMS Bark Endeavour also awaits with a black light cave, 3D art murals and educational elements.

Win a family pass

Moreton Daily is giving 50 lucky people the chance to be among the first to “tee off” at the new mini golf experience, with 50 family passes up for grabs to the grand opening weekend.
