Plans have been submitted for 21 units on a prime waterfront site facing Pumicestone Passage at Bribie Island.

The proposals, lodged with Moreton Bay City Council, are for three-bedroom townhouses at 95 Sylvan Beach Esp, Bellara.

If approved, a mix of two and three-storey units would be built on the 4733sqm near Marine Pde and the VMR (Volunteer Marine Rescue) Bribie Island.

The development would have a private internal access road from Elcata Avenue, according to reports available on Council’s website.

Submissions say the site has approval for a nine-lot subdivision, but a multi-residential development is now seen as “more in line” with the planning scheme.

The development application says the applicant plans are to provide “at least two car parking spaces per unit”.
