Work starts on highway site entry
Residents and motorists have been warned road work has started beside the Bruce Highway north-bound lanes at Murrumba Downs.
Transport and Main Roads (TMR) says this is part of the highway’s $290 million upgrade from Dohles Rocks Rd to Anzac Ave.
Part of the noise barrier will be demolished and construction equipment and machinery moved to set-up a new site entry/exit.
As a result, a 40km/h speed limit will be on Goodrich Rd West, north of Northquarter Dr, due to construction traffic going to and from the new entry.
TMR says work – between 6am and 6pm weekdays - will take approximately two weeks to complete.
There will be signage and traffic control, including potential temporary lane closures on Goodrich Rd West and possibly minor delays, potential noise, light, vibration and dust.
TMR says: “We will make every effort to minimise disruptions throughout these works.”
