World first at supercross launch
The 2025 Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship has been launched with a world-first stunt at Sandstone Point Hotel.
FMX legend and X Games winner Corey Creed soared more than 20m into the air, clearing a drift car from a quarter pipe ramp - the world’s only airbag-supported structure of its kind.
The aerial stunt marked the return of the championship’s Moreton Bay Double Header Round in Redcliffe on October 11 and 12 - and announce ticket sales.
Beneath the jump stood Boost Mobile ambassadors and Supercross championship contenders Luke Clout, Nathan Crawford, Aaron Tanti and Wilson Todd with City of Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery.
The Boost Mobile AUSX Supercross Championship, is the second largest supercross title in the world and attracts riders from across the globe.
"Last year was intense — the racing, the fans, the whole vibe," said Luke Clout, Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki SX1 rider who was third in the 2024 series.
"This season’s shaping up to be even bigger. The schedule is stacked and I’m hungry to put Australia on the top step this year."
Mayor Peter Flannery added: “It’s an incredible showcase of what this city can deliver.
“From the Kayo Stadium dirt to international broadcast coverage, AUSX gives us a platform to welcome fans from across the country to the City of Moreton Bay.”
