Miracle Mums Movement (MMM), a support group helping women rebuild their lives after domestic and family violence, has officially launched for 2026.

Stakeholders including police, Centre Against Domestic Abuse, Chameleon Youth Housing, Zonta, Broken to Brilliant, survivors and family joined MMM at The Komo.

A State election commitment of $150,000 will enable MMM to expand its workshops which help women heal, regain confidence and reconnect with community after trauma.

Workshops provide tools for emotional resilience, rebuilding self-esteem and developing supportive networks, critical in preventing isolation and breaking cycles of abuse.

“Women who have experienced domestic and family violence are left to pick up the pieces of their lives and deserve every opportunity to rebuild with hope, dignity and security knowing they will be safe,” State Member for Redcliffe Kerri-Anne Dooley said.

“These peer workshops create a safe space where survivors are understood, supported, and empowered by others who have walked a similar path.”

MMM has built a reputation in Redcliffe and beyond for compassionate, peer-led support that help guide victim survivors through emotional, social and practical challenges.

“Miracle Mums was created from lived experience and a simple belief that women who have survived abuse deserve more than crisis support,” Miracle Mums Movement founder and president Lou Feltham Smith said.

“They deserve the space to rebuild, reconnect with themselves and create the life they truly want.”
