16 properties on offer at Ray White mega auction

The Peninsula’s three Ray White franchises have joined forces to host a mega auction event next week.

Ray White Aspley Group director of sales and chief auctioneer Benson Spong says 16 properties will go under the hammer in The Komo function room next Thursday night.

“It’s a really good mix of land, investor stock and newer homes, as well as being across all price points,” Benson says.

“There’s a couple of units in Redcliffe, out to newer builds in Newport.””

Wide range

Properties on offer range from a two-bedroom Queenslander at Shorncliffe to a six-bedroom designer home at Newport.

Benson says the event is allowing vendors to make the most of high buyer interest, and giving buyers full transparency on pricing.

“The buyer traffic at the moment across open homes is the equivalent, if not slightly higher than in November and December 2021, with bidder trends matching the COVID era.”

He says sellers and buyers are embracing auctions.

“The benefit for the sellers is the clearance rate is substantially higher – if you look at priced properties over three months only about 50 percent are selling.

“Through COVID a lot of people were buying through private treaty and some now feel they paid too much because they didn’t know what other people were prepared to pay – with an auction you can see what everyone else is prepared to pay.
