We invited candidates to provide a profile which included their top three priorities. Here are their responses, in ballot paper order.

Top 3 issues to address:
1. After doorknocking more than 6000 homes across the Ferny Grove electorate, locals tell me they want a government who can address Queensland’s youth crime crisis, cost of living crisis, health crisis and housing crisis.
2. The LNP’s plan does that with Adult Crime, Adult Time and gold-standard early intervention, stopping Labor’s Patients’ Tax, and abolishing the stamp duty tax on new homes for first home buyers. If there’s a change of government, I want to be a strong voice for Brisbane’s north-west.
3. We’ve announced investment in better access to sporting facilities, including at Ferny Hills State School, CCTV upgrades at shopping precincts and public transport hubs, and support for local charity Stationery Aid and a Men’s Shed at Bunya. I can keep delivering for our region by collaborating with the local Moreton Bay Councillor and Federal MP.

- Delivering record education infrastructure for our community – over $113 million for our local schools, including over 70 classrooms, four new halls (two already completed), and a massive renovation of Mitchie Special School.
- Delivering for our local clubs and sporting infrastructure – including $200 FairPlay vouchers for kids, and new changerooms in Ferny Grove Sports Fields (delivered), and a $500,000 election commitment for new changerooms for Westside Grovely FC.

1. We’re lucky to be backing onto beautiful bushland and forests here in Ferny Grove, but they’re under threat from big developers. I’ll make sure precious habitats aren’t bulldozed for private profits.
2. Over $400 from the average monthly mortgage repayment is pure profit for the banks. The Greens will create a publicly owned bank just like Queensland used to have. We’ll offer cheaper mortgages at 1.5% below the ‘big four banks’ and take the pressure off working families by cutting out corporate profits and giant CEO salaries.
3. Queenslanders are putting off basic health check-ups because it’s so hard to see a bulk-billing GP. The number of bulk-billing GPs is down 31% over the last six years. We’ll set up 200 free public health clinics with GPs, physios and psychologists, seven days a week and out of hours.
