Activities for seniors in the new year

Seniors with spare time will be well catered for in 2023, with The Hills and Districts Chamber of Commerce’s Seniors Committee already organising free and low-cost activities for the new year.

First on the agenda is a technology session focusing on internet banking, shopping online safely and using services such as PayPal.

Graham “The Tech Tutor” McDermott will lead the session on January 11.

It runs from 10.30am-12.30pm at the Arana Leagues Club and costs $15.

Other technology sessions looking at a range of topics are held on the second Wednesday of each month.

The Over the Hills Art Class resumes on February 3.

Classes are held each Friday at the PCYC Hills District at Everton Hills from 10am-noon. Teacher Julie is ready on hand to guide experienced and beginning artists, with lessons in a mix of media and styles.

Bring along art supplies or use those provided and enjoy learning new skills in a friendly group.

Participants don’t have to be seniors to join in the fun.
