Appeal to help family after devastating crash

Support is flowing in for a Caboolture family involved in an horrific car accident in West Australia at the weekend.

More than $43,000 has been donated to a GoFundMe page in the first 24 hours to help the Lee family.

On Sunday all four were cut from the wreckage of their car following the accident and then airlifted to hospitals in Perth.

The GoFundMe page says Geoff has broken ankles, spinal and internal injuries; Sommar has a broken pelvis, legs and wrist and severe lacerations; Declan, 8, has numerous cuts and bruises.

Sadly, Chloe had head and spinal injuries. Police confirmed on Wednesday her life support had been switched off.

Hometown

The GoFundMe page says Sommar and Geoff want to return Chloe to her hometown Caboolture for a funeral, so her friends and relatives have the chance to commemorate her short life.

The family recently moved from Caboolture to West Australia for a change of life and better work opportunities.

Geoff and Sommar have contributed greatly to the Caboolture community. The family was an integral part of the St Peter's Primary School with Sommar helping raise funds for the school through the P&F.

Help needed

According to the GoFundMe page, Geoff is currently employed on a casual basis and has no holiday/sick pay. They have a house they rent south west of Perth and a mortgage on their home in Caboolture.

It says the family will be under significant financial pressure due to Geoff not being able to work and costs associated with the accident.

Any support for the Lee family will be greatly appreciated. To donate to the GoFundMe page use this link:
