Be part of Red Ride, Stand Up campaign
This year’s Red Ride will be more than a symbolic ride against domestic violence – it will be the beginning of a movement, with the launch of the Stand Up campaign.
The campaign aims to send the message that the people of the City of Moreton Bay will stand up, speak out, and take action to end domestic violence.
This year, Red Ride takes it a step further by launching the Stand Up and Change the Story campaign, which will use a powerful mix of social media, video content, billboards, and a community art installation to send a clear and unwavering message: domestic violence must end.
The ride, on May 17, was founded in 2021 by Moreton Bay City Councillor Tony Latter and Caboolture Rotary Club.
It has been a platform for the community to unite against domestic violence, bringing together local businesses, riders, and supporters to create an event that’s about community action.
Cr Latter says the event would not be what it is today without Caboolture Sports Club, which has been the major sponsor for five consecutive years.
“Their unwavering support has helped Red Ride grow, allowing more funds to go toward vital domestic violence services and prevention programs in Moreton Bay,” he says.
“The Stand Up campaign is about empowering our community to take action—whether that’s speaking up when we see something wrong or supporting survivors in our own families.
“Through this campaign and Red Ride, we’re creating a movement that doesn’t shy away from the issue; we’re showing that we’re not going to stay silent anymore.”
This year, alongside the ride itself, a Family Fun Day and Car Show will offer a family friendly opportunity to engage with the campaign, showing that ending domestic violence is everyone’s responsibility.
Caboolture Rotary Club’s Kathleen Finter says: “The Family Fun Day is where the whole community comes together.
“It’s not just about raising funds; it’s about raising awareness and making sure everyone—young and old—feels part of the solution.”
