Brooke Cooper, the Burpengary-based boxer, is world ranked after just three fights.

It follows the 22-year-old’s overwhelming defeat of New Zealand’s Karena Lina Te Ruki-Pasene on the Gold Coast late last month.

Cooper, who trains at Kaos Martial Arts in Morayfield, stopped Ruki-Pasene of round three of their WBC Super Lightweight Australasian title fight.

Victory has given Cooper a place in the WBC (World Boxing Council’s) top 20 rankings – and put her in the sporting spotlight.

'Lots of offers'

'Psycho' (nickname) and her team are weighing-up offers and investigating pathways for her boxing career.

“There have been lots of offers coming my way,” the former Narangba Valley State High School student said.

“Now it’s deciding which way to go. I was hoping for one more Muay Thai fight to round it up to 40, but boxing seems quite excited.”

An executive investment administrator in East Brisbane by day, Cooper’s victory may lead to fight offers from overseas.

Title fight

There is talk of the WBF (World Boxing Foundation) wanting her to fight for the Australian title.

Cooper has been fighting since she was 10 and is a two-time world Muay Thai champion with 27 wins from 39 fights before switching to boxing.

Her debut was July last year with defeat on points to DeeDee Hobbs for the same WBC Australasian title she now holds.

Cooper’s first win came in December, stopping Amanda Klein in four rounds.
