Changes coming for Caboolture-Bribie Island Rd upgrade

Two-way traffic will be temporarily redirected as work continues to upgrade Caboolture-Bribie Island Rd to a four-lane carriageway between Old Toorbul Point Rd and Saint Rd, Ningi.

Following major construction, which started in mid-March, duplication of the westbound section of the road from east of Old Toorbul Point Rd to just east of Saint Rd is now finished.

To facilitate works on the existing road, two-way traffic will be temporarily redirected onto the newly constructed westbound lanes.

The traffic switch is expected to take place on August 18, weather and construction conditions permitting. To minimise disruption, the switch will be done at night, when traffic volumes are lower.

Leading up to the change, night work will be scheduled to prepare temporary ramps connecting the new westbound section of road.

Traffic controllers will be onsite and message signs and traffic management measures will be put in place to direct vehicles onto the newly constructed road.

The traffic switch will be in place for about three months, weather and construction conditions permitting.
