Creative flair on show

The talents of Bribie Island Community Arts Centre arts and crafts groups will be on show in an exhibition later this month.

Showcase Exhibition is on from January 27 to February 28 in the centre’s Matthew Flinders Gallery.

More than 18 groups of artists who meet and create regularly at the Arts Centre at Banksia Beach, will take part.

These include painters, potters, printmakers, sewing, knitting and crochet groups, quilters, glassmakers, jewellers and wood crafters.

The exhibition will give art lovers the chance to see the high standard of work produced by artists in the island.

Entry is free. Patrons must adhere to COVID-19 requirements, which at this time include wearing a mask, hand hygiene, checking in and social distancing.

About Bribie Island Community Arts Centre

BICAC opened in December, 1988 and has become one of Australia’s largest and busiest arts centres, with space for display, retail, workshops and studios, and catering for more than twenty kinds of arts and crafts.

Bribie Island Community Arts Centre is at 191 Sunderland Drive, Banksia Beach.
