Don’t miss lively cultural mashup

Think German beer, pretzels, folk dancing versus shamrocks, leprechauns, Guinness and the Irish Jig and you’ll get a sense of what the St.Patricks Day VS Marchtoberfest event will be like next month.

The lively mashup event, presented by Beam Entertainment, will be held in Webb Hall at Redcliffe Showgrounds on March 18 from 11am-10pm.

Organisers say they are bringing together Australian, German and Irish cultures with food and drinks, games and fun.

Brisbane Irish band The Gathering, fronted by Mick McHugh, will be performing along with Irish dancers from Scoilardrince at Margate and the Woody Point Scottish Pipe band.

Patrons can also enjoy Irish and German flavours with sausages, black pudding, potatoes, schnitzels and much more on offer.

‘Karl the Wunderhost’ will lead the crowd in games such as beer stein stemming, hammer striking and finger wrestling.

There will also be prizes for the best dressed.

This is an 18+ event.
