Don’t miss Moreton Bay Farm Trail

The Moreton Bay Farm Trail returns this weekend. It’s a chance to step through the farmgate and explore local farms and farmers’ hubs.

The one-day event is on October 18, showcasing nine farms, six farmers’ hubs as well as 25 local producers and makers.

From family farms to large-scale growers, Moreton Bay Farm Trail offers a rare chance to taste, learn and connect with the people who grow our food and flowers locally.

Founder Susanne Engelhard says Moreton Bay is home to “an incredible diversity of farms and producers”.

“The Farm Trail is about celebrating that diversity, supporting local growers and giving people the chance to see where their food comes from. It’s an event that connects people to place,” she says.

Each participating farm and hub will feature unique experiences, from behind-the-scenes farm talks to exclusive pre-sale produce and flowers.

Accessibility notes and farm highlights are available online to help visitors plan their day.

Tickets are essential. One ticket provides entry to all farms and hubs, behind-the-scenes farm talks, self-guided walks and access to farmers’ hubs offering food, coffee and local produce.

Ticket prices: Adults $25, adult concession (valid concession card) $21, child (6-18 years) $5, children under five free, companion card holder/carer free.

The Moreton Bay Farm Trail is a community agritourism initiative founded by Susanne Engelhard of Green Thumb Farm. Proudly supported by the Food & Agribusiness Network (FAN) and the City of Moreton Bay, the Trail celebrates small-scale regenerative farming and the region’s vibrant food culture.
