Don’t miss Redcliffe KiteFest

The countdown is on to Redcliffe KiteFest this weekend, with big kites and popular children’s entertainment expected to draw big crowds.

Known as one of the biggest family friendly events on the calendar in South East Queensland, Redcliffe KiteFest will return to Clontarf’s Pelican Park on September 16 and 17.

Tickets are on sale now via the Redcliffe KiteFest website

The main attraction of this year’s festival will be the gigantic kites that will take to the skies high above the main arena. They’ll be operated by several international kite flyers from Belgium, Indonesia, Malaysia and New Zealand who are flying in for the event.

Fans of the hit children’s program Cocomelon will be delighted to see JJ live on Sesame Lane Main stage, where he will sing and dance along with the crowd during multiple performances. Ryder, Chase, Skye, Marshall and Rubble from Paw Patrol will also take to the stage.

There will also be plenty of rides including a Ferris wheel, dodgem cars, a mini pirate ship, jumping castle and a giant slide, as well as free hands-on activities, an aerobatics display, more than 150 market stalls, and food trucks.

Redcliffe KiteFest is organised by Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism (MBRIT) and Kites Queensland in partnership with Moreton Bay Regional Council and It's Live! In Queensland, and supported by major sponsors Sesame Lane, Ausbuild and UniSC.
