The girls, after tough games in the preliminary rounds, fought a hard to reach the bronze medal final to go down by one point in a penalty shootout.

Following the event, selectors names Amelie, Anabelle, Abbie and Tian for the Queensland school’s representative Possible vs Probables list by Queensland selectors.

Tian Markart will also represent the boys’ Queensland team later this year at the Australian School Sport Water Polo championship in NSW.

Abbie McDonald has been selected as a shadow player for the girls’ team.
